This is an excellent tripod for the price you pay.
Let me lists the two things I don't particularly like about it. Firstly, unlike most other tripods, you must remove the mounting shoe before you can mount your camera. Second, the level sits at the top of the tripod legs rather than on the tripod head and is easily blocked from view by the tripod head itself.
Now, the positives. If you don't use a tripod all the time or if you don't want to pay too much for a tripod, this is an excellent tripod. It is not fully metal but it is well built and stable. It allows for panning, tilting, and changing of the angle of the tripod head, like most other tripods. It reaches down to a height of about 20 inches, and up to a nice height of almost 57 inches. It doesn't come with a bag but is weighs only a little over 2 lbs, so it is pretty easy to carry it around. Overall, it is a great tripod from Sony and it that does the job.
I would definitely recommend this tripod to anyone who wants a tripod for the occasional use.
