I am a macro fanatic and this lens gets the job done. Aside from being a macro is has super wide angle capabilities. Even better it comes with a 10 year limited warranty and only took 3 days to get to me in Nebraska. I enjoy using this lens for taking my close up shots and even more the wide angle allows me to capture those wide beautiful sunsets we have out here. A+

I bought this lens to go with a Sony DSC H2, and now I wouldn't be without it. The camera comes with an adapter ring, which you require to mount the lens to the camera, and a case to put them both lens and adapter ring together in your gadget bag. My only regret is that, once mounted, the lens can only be used with the maximum wide angle; it takes time to put it on and remove the lens, so this means I have to plan action shots ahead. If you do zoom in with the wide angle lens mounted, you get the effect of a circular mask to your shot.
Users be aware you can't really use it with the built in flash as the lens partially eclipses the flash at the bottom of the shot to get round this, invest in a hot shoe mountable flash gun and make your camera even more versatile. You will probably want a gadget bag to put your lens in, so adding a flash gun to the kit won't matter much.

A great lens, hands down. No problems with it, fits snugly on my Sony H5 and produces clear shots. High quality built and received it in 2 days. Thank you NWV!

I have a fetish when it comes to lenses and attachments for my camera. I have tons of different lenses some with macro some without, others with longer telephoto distance, others with different wide angles. when i bought this lens not only did i get a .45x but it came with macro as well. I wasn't too fond of macro when i originally discovered it but now i rather enjoy taking close up shots and with this wide angle combined i can now take super wide close up shots with no distortion. It made of high grade steel, and comes with a nifty carrying pouch for added protection. Only thing i didnt like about it was that it came in a flimsy box, meaning the original product box but again it is just a box and will end up in the trash anyway. I was just hoping ti would come in a new high quality reusable box but what can ya do. Another good thing about this lens is that it comes with a 10 year warranty and that is great. Over all i enjoy using this lens and will recommend it to my friends.

I attend my local university and am majoring in photography. I received this lens from my mother as a gift and a good luck start at the beginning of the semester. since then i have taken wonderful shots at extreme closeups (It's a Nature Photography class). So bugs close up, various wildlife and plant life with such detail too! I cant help but to feel like im cheating when using this lens because it is by far the best one in the class. Great lens, great product.

As a newbie photographer i decided to make my first to lens purchases this .45x wide angle with macro and the same brand 2x telephoto lens. The .45x is a wonderful add on for my Sony and it enabled me to achieve much wider shots. Even the picture above with the Eiffel tower seems to not totally capture the wideness of this lens as i believe it to be wider then as intended on the picture. The lens is crystal clear with almost no dark spots from the low vignetting. Great lens, great price!

Owner: HV20 Canon. Wide lens: This one.
Results: Extraordinary!
Negative: Pricey
This lens works like a champ on my new Canon HV 20, A friend uses the WD0H43 and this lens blows it away. It is really wide and sharp on the edghes.

This lens is so incredibly clear and bright. We use it on our Canon HV20 because the darn Canon lens is impossible to get. You know what I don't want that lens anymore. I was recommended this one and it works fanatastcially. Thank you New World.

I ordered a wide angle lens for my Canon. After I placed my order, New World Video called me as the lens I ordered was out of stock but the order could be filled in a few days. During our conversation, I mentioned that I'm a Realtor and need the wide angle lens for room shots. The salesperson suggested I might want to consider a different, wider angle lens for not much more. I went for it. Today I received it and the lens is awesome. No distortion and excellent resolution. They did a great service for me.
I just called NWV and asked for a recommendation for a flash, as the new lens blocks the camera's built in flash. This salesperson directed me right to a flash he felt would suit my need... which was also on sale. I now trust that this item will also be perfect. Thanks guys!
