Owner: D 80!! what a difference!! Has everything you will ever need for half the price of those ridiculously large and expensive flash that do the same thing as this!

I just learned a valuable lesson in flash photography...learn the power settings of your flash.
This flash totally rocks, but you must understand it. It kept failing me at opportune times and now I realize that at full power I was going through batteries at 225 shots.

This Flash is very easy to use and works well right out of the box. The manual is terrible so i needed to wing it... It also feels a little cheap, I guess that is technology nowadays.
I would recommend using one rechargeable batteries because the flash will drain teh alkaline batteries fairly quickly. Remember always bring extra batteries for those extra long events and uses and remember to use the bounce feature to reduce the brightness of shots as this thing is very powerful and bright!

I purchased this flash 952af/nik a week before my best friends weddings. So i had little time to test the unit prior to the party, I dove right in. I was amazed at the exposures from very close shots to, believe it or not, the entire length of the reception hall. The auto zoom is a really cool feature that changes to match your lens setting from wide to telephoto. I made about a 150 shots the first time out using NiMH batteries with no significant drain. At this time, I have found absolutely no negative points. Overall a great quality flash and the bounce feature is nice to have. I usually tend to bounce it off the ceiling for full body shots and face shots. Use it, I like it, and you got yourself a long lasting flash.

This is an amazing flash, completely synchronized with my D200, never a delay in the flash, etc. I've taken some really great pictures with this camera/flash combination.
I would highly recommend buying the 952 because it accommodates all of my current needs. Furthure more this flash has helped me achieve better over all quality shots and i have had fun using it. The nifty back lit LED light comes in handy for those night shots. Always a topic brought up when around fellow photographers, i tell them Digital Concepts all the way. Take AA batteries, so i bought the 2500MaH rechargeable batteries and if you plan on using this flash a lot i recommend those batteries, to save time and money buying new batteries every other week (depending on how much your going to be using this flash of course)

Wonderful, wonderful flash! I am an amateur recently turned pro photographer and photography is my life. I love showing this flash off when new clients or other fellow photographers ask me about it. They are fascinated just as i of the power this thing really has! Never get a dark shot again. For those of you asking is the 200$+ for this flash really worth it, let me say this to you. If you even have to think about that you are not taking the quality of your shots serious enough. To get great shots you cant just "settle" because its what fits in your budget, save up a couple weeks more paycheck and get this flash its worth your time and money. And you wont be sorry you did!

Finally was able to put some money aside and get a new flash for my D 70. I looked at the less expensive Sigma flashes, but was sold on the Digital Concepts.
Used it the other day and took some great portraits. The flash worked like a charm. It is alot better than the on camera flash. The pop up flash comes in handy if you can't or forget to bring the main flash, but it is really nice to have the extra power of the seperate flash. If you think your going to do a lot of indoor photography (birthdays, holidays, etc..) this is a great flash.
I purchased this through NWV Directs amazon store which is always a plus because anyone who Amazon trusts, i trust! Received it well packed in just 3 days.

Been using the Sb 600 for almost a month, and i love it...this flash makes me fall IN love with it even more. Not only due to its easiness but its ability to bounce the light off the wall to get clearer shots without too much brightness. Wheater you are a consumer or a prosumer this is the flash for you.

It's pretty intimidating to read various websites on all the things you can do with this flash. I was really happy to unpack the box and find a simple guide with sample photos that described the effects of the flash. For the price you cant go wrong and i find it a nifty little flash to have on you when you go photo hunting.
I'm using it with a Nikon D70, and the improvement of both my indoor and outdoor photos is amazing. If I had to do it again, I'd get this before getting any new lenses.

I've been quite satisfied with this flash and I've been using the built in flash occasionally to get evenly lit images and balanced exposed shots. But the built in flash just doesn't cut it. I made the huge mistake of taking pictures at my cousin's Bar Mitzvah in a huge hall thinking that a tripod, high ISO settings, and the built in flash will suffice. I was wrong. I purchased a this Digital concepts Flash and when I downloaded the pics to my computer for some fine tuning, I noticed the HUGE difference between the built in flash. The flash gave me more area to be covered by the flash. For roughly under $200 this is quite the bargain. I'd recommend rechargeable AA batteries. The recycle time for the flash is FAST. No regrets, great customer service and fast shipping!

Excellent flash unit. After using my civil war Vivitar 283 for many years this new flash is really great. Lots of power and features. New World did a fine job in recommending this flash.
